How to you test the range on your paging system?
Activating this feature and moving around with your pagers will help you assess the range of your transmitter. During the range test, the transmitter will send a signal to the pagers, causing them to light up each time they receive the message.
To ensure the most accurate reading, use three pagers during the range test. When you have reached a point where ALL three pagers fail to receive two consecutive pages, you are considered out of range.
Performing Range Test
- Scroll to TEST menu.
- Press SEND key and display will indicate “on”.
- Press the SEND key again to activate the range test.
The transmitter will send a page to all pagers every 10 seconds. Pager will flash once when it receives a page. - Walk around the area where you expect to receive pages. When you have reached a point where the test pagers fail to receive two consecutive pages, you are considered out of range.
- Press and hold the DOWN or UP arrow key to stop the range test.
- Press and hold the DOWN arrow key to exit the programming menu.
